The childcare allowance calculator helps you determine you childcare costs savings. The calculator is quick and easy.

Just enter the childcare hours and cost for your full-time daycare, afterschool care and/or private nanny and the calculator shows you your monthly savings. You know immediately how much you can expect to pay for your childcare when you work with Blue Umbrella:

  • Use the calculator 2010 for your childcare situation for the year 2010.
  • Use the calculator 2011 for your childcare situation for the year 2011.
  • Use the calculator 2012 for your (expected) childcare situation for the year 2012.
The childcare allowance is in 2012 linked to the working hours of the parents. You can obtain childcare allowance for a maximum number of hours per month
  • Full-time daycare: 1.4 x the working hours of the parent with the least working hours
  • Afterschool: 0.7 x the working hours of the parent with the least working hours
A ceiling of 230 hours per month has been implemented for the reimbursement, irrespective of the type or combination of childcare.
