Extended deadline: 1 September 2020

All registered Dutch tax payers (with a digital ID) who are invited and required to file a tax return over 2019 will be automatically granted an extended filing period, until September 1, 2020 instead of May 1. No further action will be required if you normally make use of external help to prepare and file your tax return. The  Dutch Tax Authorities (”DTA”) will inform the respective recipients accordingly by post. 

Do note that this announcement does not apply to entrepreneurs nor to sole traders since the DTA considers them capable to arrange for extension themselves.
